When you come to a fork in the road…Take it!

Yoga at Atsitsa bay, Skyros, Greece.

It’s been a long summer….

It started in June; teaching yoga in Turkey for a few weeks then onto Greece, working for Skyros holistic holidays for the first time. I taught yoga through July and August at Atsitsa and now I’m back in Turkey, starting the final week of the yoga holiday season in Antik Side old town. http://www.yoga-holidays-turkey.com/

My journey over the last few months has been strange, enlightening, wild, free, challenging, vibrant. Change has been welcomed in and as a result, my trust in the way this amazing life unfolds has deepened. Ever supported by my yoga practice and the community of people around me, I am encouraged to move toward acceptance of where I am right now and realising the delight of this ‘presence’.

When I move away from the present there is often pain; through feelings of loss, of what is past and in a deep yearning for what may be. In a funny way we are often continually drawn to suffering, maybe because it is through this that we learn and overcome and burn up the desires and wants, uncovering a deeper and more enduring love. This LOVE is limitless, abundant, true and ever present. We don’t need to work or fight for it, plan or understand it…we simply SURRENDER to it; removing our resistance and all the barriers we create in ourselves and welcoming it in.

Being a teacher of yoga, I learn so much. Thank you to all my students.

Yoga at sunset…on the beach after a boat trip with Captain Metin, along the Manavgat big green river in Turkey.

Our little band of Yogis: Anna, Sylvia, Sue, Jane, Victoria and Will…sunbathed on the deck, opened our hearts, dived off the boat into warm waters, played on the sand, meditated as the sun went down, ate freshly barbecued fish and vegetables, sang and danced around a roaring fire, played the Captain’s wooden spoons! and danced on the deck as we drifted back to our yoga oasis; Ozden Pansiyon in Side.
